2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 rear door locks will not work. What relay controls this and where is it?

2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 rear door locks will not work, what relay controls this and where is it? They do not work from the door switch or from the key fob unlock. Thanks, Ron

The power window and door lock relay should be in the main fuse box under the hood. Try switching it with another comparable relay in the box to test it. If it is not the relay, you most probably have a bad door lock actuator inside the door behind the door panel. If the other door locks work, I suspect it is the actuator, as moisture inside the doors will usually cause the actuator to fail or corrode the electrical connections to it. Good luck!

My 04 2500 started the same thing Christmas eve - both rear doors on crew cab will not lock by fob or driver door control or speed actuation. I have to lock them manually. They will, however, unlock when I shift into park - go figure.

Kar Junkie, Thanks that was a big help... On the 2500 the relays for the front and rear doors are in the fuse panel inside the truck, drivers side, left side of the dash. Just take off the panel, it just pulls off. pull the two relays and yes they were corroded, You could see it right away. I just cleaned them and put some elec. lube on them and re-installed them. Works great. Thanks again, Ron
