2004 Honda Accord, light 4 radio/AC out, but both still work, have pulled all small fuses, what fuse controls that

2004 Honda Accord EX, the radio and the A/C work, BUT you cannot see anything on the radio display, and the backlight for the A/C panel do not work, with the exception of the individual buttons such as the one for the compressor, that will come on when you push it in. I have pulled all of the small fuses under the hood and on the inside box and cannot find any bad fuses. Please help, listening in the dark

Probably not a fuse, but rather a bulb or series of bulbs. Sometimes one bulb is shared among things via clear plastic, kinda like how fiber optic lighting works.

The warranty on the radio display has been extended to 7 years/100k miles on the 2003-2004 Accord. This problem is common.

I'm sorry the link did not paste properly. If you go to the forums, search for the Honda Accord 2003-2007 Maintenance and Repair thread (if you aren't familiar with the forums, first search for the Honda Accord by make and model, and the 2003-2007 Maintenance and Repair Forum should be in the list of threads). When you've found it, go to message #2745. It contains a copy of the warranty extension letter.

Good luck. You shouldn't have to pay for this assuming you've got less than 100k on the car.

We had this same problem on our 2003 Accord. Honda orginally told us we would have to pay to have this fixed and it was going to be about $800 for the new display. So we didn't have it repaired. Then about 4 months ago we had a recall on something else and while it was in the dealer for repair Honda repaired the display for free! This is a recall item but not a safety issue, so you have to take it in and complain for the repair. This problem seems to be limited to cars in the south and they get too hot and it causes some part to fail in the display. Hope you don't have problems at the dealer!
