    Have them replace the Purge Control Valve

    Or you can replace it...takes some basic mechanical skills and tools

    I don't know if you are still having this problem, but I also have a 2004 Santa Fe and was having the same problem. You need to replace the purge valve. It is something you can change yourself. I bought the part directly from the dealer, it was cheaper then Auto Zone or Napa.
