does this truck if your in drive and your taking off make a noise and then goes away in second

no, but when I reach about 30 mph the truck loses power and just refs to high rpm level

there is a snap ring that holds the intermediate sprag down on the reverse drum this thing loves to blow off and the symptoms you are having are do to this when you have the trans rebuilt tell the you want the updated spiral retainer for this problem
