2005 Buick Rendezvous won't start

The lights work and the windows roll down, so I don't think it's the battery but it won't start and it won't let me jump start it. I can't figure how to get it cranked if jumping it won't work. ????

when you try to jump start it, does the engine sound like its trying to turn over? or is it that nothing happens at all? same questions for when you just try to normally start the car

Thanks for the reply - I took off to visit family for New Years and when I got back two days ago it still wouldn't crank. I'm using the other car, and it's been too cold to fool with it again. But nothing happens when I try to crank it - I don't hear anything trying to turn over. It just sits there, no clicks or anything. So odd, since the windows still go down.

Perhaps you should check the starter motor. If you don't hear anything at all, that suggests that the starter motor isnt't working at all

I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous, that will not start after I havedriven it for several hours and turn it off. If I change a fuse, the security motor fuse, it will start and run. But as soon as I turn it off it will not start and I have to put another fuse in. Sometimes it takes several hours before it will start.

I took it in to get it fixed; and it worked the whole two weeks it was in the shop and never broke the fuse. As soon as I brought it home, turned off the engine, the fuse broke.

The lights work and the windows roll down. The battery is new.
