Any incandescent light bulb puts out lower amouts of light as it ages. For ten bucks at walmart you can replace them and see if that helps. Be sure not to touch the glass, or they will burnout prematurely. If you don't think that is the problem you can try readjusting their aim. You need a level place facing a wall, I usually use our driveway aimed at the garage door. There are screws behind the headlight assembly that control their aim. Be careful, you don't want them too high, there should be a slight downward angle. Make small changes to start.

Most expensive bulbs designed to give "brighter" blue light get a lot of complaints on forums about burning out quickly, and not giving much more light to begin with.

they just stop- this sounds like they are focused incorrectly look in a manual or look up online how to adjust them all you will need is a screwdriver to adjust to where you want it. also check that your air pressure is correct in all of your tires. replacement bulb especially the sylvania "silverstar ultra" will make it briter and whiter but will change the focus position of the lamps.
hope this helps
