2007 Ford Fusion vs 2011 or 2012 redesigned Fusion.
Hello everyone!
My lovely girlfriend is in the market for a used car. Based on budget, reliability, and her personal like (as well as mine, since we are planning on getting married in the future), we settled on a Ford Fusion.
We are split between two different years.
First, there's a 2007 V6 with 57,000 miles on it. She really likes it because of the price (around $8.5k), and I really like the price too. Since it's under the budget (around $10-12k) we're planning on doing aftermarket head unit swap, tinting, and remote start. After all that, she'd still come in under budget
The second Fusion is about $4k more and is a 2011 with under 40k on it. The price is at the higher end of the budget. But it has the features that we both like (sunroof, Sync, heated seats, Sirius, etc.) and it's a 4 cylinder (so I like the fuel economy).
With all of that said, would anyone say that one is more reliable than the other? Is the 4 cylinder 2011 more reliable than the 2007 V6? Would the $4k more be worth the redesign?
Any advice would be great!
Thanks
