As the miles count down the oil life is reduced and the computer lets you know. When it hits 0% you are due for an oil change. After the oil change the computer is reset to 100% and starts all over.

Check this link for a free Honda owner's manual you can download:

How To Find Your Car Owner's Manual Online

The manual should tell you how to reset the oil life indicator light.

Four quarts is a lot of oil to be putting into your engine between oil changes; I'd find a mechanic and get it checked out. It's a good idea to check your dipstick at least every other fill-up with gas to make sure your oil is at the proper level.

I have the 2007 Civic Honda Hybrid Manual and the wrench light is that it is time for an oil change. I think the wrench has to be reset by the dealer.

The yellow wrench flashing means that you are due for an oil change. Once the oil is changed, either the mechanic or you can do the following to reset and remove the yellow wrench.

    1. Push in the odometer trip reset button while do step 2
    2. Turn the ignition key to position #1 (meaning the first click) do not attempt to start the car.
    3. After about five seconds the yellow wrench will stop flashing.
    4. Return the key to off position and let go of the odometer trip reset button.
    5. Turn on your car and the yellow wrench will go away.

No, you don't need the dealership to reset the yellow wrench indicator for you. You just have to get your oil changed, and once that's done, the mechanic should be able to reset and your annoying yellow wrench should go away.
