    The leakage will almost always be out of the end seals and into the rack and pinion boots. These convoluted rubber boots, on each end of the rack, are not designed to hold fluid in. They are designed to keep debris out of the rack. When the rack leaks, they can hold up to a quart or more fluid, before it spills out. Have someone remove the rack and pinion boots and you will find the leak.
