2008 Toyota Sienna makes a noise coming from the drivers door when hitting a bump with the right side.

We just bought this sienna brand new almost 2 months ago, and after the first month it started making a noise on the drivers door lije the if the window is hitting some metal in the inside, and it only happens when you are driving and hit a bump with the right side of the car, I took it to the dealer twice, the first time they could hear the noise but I went with my 3 kids so they said to meka and appointment for another day and just live the van there, when the day of the appointment came they could not hear no noise so I was sent home, then in the afternoon the noise started again. I noticed it happens usually in the afternoon, and when it is hot. You can not here it when it is raining. What could it be?, haow can I get the dealer to fix it and not just send me home because the mechanic can not here the noise?. They keep telling me that it is not safety issue, but I did not bought a brand new car to come with that noise. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like your window regulator assembly and or the motor are loose. The good news is that this is a simple low cost repair, the assembly and/or motor just need to be tightened. If the dealer is unwilling to repair the problem you have two other avenues to follow. You can go to another dealer to repair the problem. As the car is under warranty any Toyota dealer is obligated to perform warranty repairs. Assuming no other dealer is close by, you should contact the Toyota regional manager for your area and file a formal complaint about the dealer. You can also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and your state's Consumer Affairs Division against the dealer. That should help make them more cooperative! It is important you file your complaint with the state's Consumer Affairs Division promptly, as most state "lemon laws" have a short time period in order to qualify.
