    First pull the new plug and see if it is fouled or not. If not, test the compression of the cylinder for a burnt valve or ring blow by. You should have at least 150 lbs of compression. Also, check the injector and the coil over the #1 cylinder. If it all checks out, try running 2-3 tankfuls of gas with some Techron Concentrate as you may just have a fouled injector.

    This is a good basic answer, but 2000 Astro is a single point injection system and if read the post has a cap and rotor. Meaning that there is no coil over the #1 plug. The compression test is a good start, but this misfire is intermintate, ( which wasn't in the post).

    Sorry for the misinformation. I have found a reference to a problem with Astro vans that may be what you are experiencing. Check out the wire going to the coil primary. Apparently, the A/C line can rub against this wire causing it to fray inside the insulation. The remaining strands cannot carry enough current to saturate the coil and the problem reveals itself in the intermittant misfire issues you mentioned. Run your finger along the insulation and if you feel any dip or thin spot, strip the insulation away and check for frayed strands. If you find them, splice in a new section and route the wire away from the A/C line.

    if u already change everything... u need to clean the injectors remove it put it in the can with thinner and leave it over night........ or make a reprogramming for PCM

    This problem was due to a Fuel Pressure Regulator leaking and causing over rich conditions in 1 and 5. If you replace the FPR in an Astro, you should also repalce the injector, as the labor is massive and the injector is not much more
