Thanks. I think the belt is ok, as the rotor does spin, and the starter turns the motor as before, not faster like when the belt would be broken.
Your next step is to see if you have 12V going into the coil. If you do, change the coil. If not, you have a bad ignition switch or a short in the wiring from switch to the coil.
