93 Chevy Cavalier that likes to stall.

I have a 93 cavalier that likes to stall but it doesnt do it all the time. I read the codes and got a 13 which i believe is the o2 sensor. I also know that it really stinks when i drive it. Is it possible that the o2 sensor and maybe a clogged cat converter may cause it to stall? It only stalls when i am coming to a stop, or have to stop really hard, but again it doesnt do it all the time.

ok code 13 is o2 sensor OPEN circuit which basically means either the sensor is broken or there is a broken (open) wire plug etc. or a bad ground on the 02 sensor circuit.this will need to be repaired since the o2 sensors tell the pcm if the engine is running rich or lean so the pcm can adjust fuel rates. since you say your smells bad when you drive it i would assume the pcm is stuck in rich mode and cannot control fuel rate
