hauntedbarn	97 Dodge Dakota is bogging down, what could be the cause? Have new cat, TPS sensor, 02 sensor, map sensor, plugs. New cat, (1) of the 02 sensors, new plugs, map sensor (2 times), TPS sensor, iac sensor, new wires, new muffler. My son is the driver (17). I am the mother that is going broke replacing everything I have no idea about. Am open to check anything about need step by step instructions. Truck only getting 6.2 mpg. V6 97 Dodge Dakota. 4x4. Was having transmission problems. Took to a transmission mechanic but he stated he could not test the transmission until the engine was running right. Any help in easy language would be appreciated. Thank you.

You should have the truck's computer scanned and come back to us with the trouble codes. Sounds like someone is just guessing with your money.

We are getting P0171 error code. So this is the updated list of everything we have done to the truck. We have replaced: TPS sensor, downstream o2 sensor, map sensor, idle control sendor, pcv valve, spark plug, spark plug wires, distributor, cat convtr, oil filter. bogging down no matter what teh weather is and only getting 6mpg.
