99 Jeep Grand Cherokee A/C problem
Hi all, I have a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with dual climate control. When I turn on the A/C cold air blows out the driver side but hot air comes out the passenger side. Any ideas of where I can look for the problem? I just spend over $3000 to have the head gaskets replaced and I can't bear to put it in the shop again.

This sounds like an under-dash problem with a "blending door", which is often a vacuum or electrically operated door that is supposed to open and shut on command from your AC controls, and divert hot or cold air as necessary. You'd probably need a repair manual to dig further into the problem if you can't see anything obvious under there, that might be inoperative or disconnected. Sometimes it's helpful to have two people, one to work the controls and the other underneath with a flashlight to observe what is or is not happening. Here's a possible sournce for a workshop manual:www.helminc.comGood luck!
