99 Jeep Grand Cherokee dual zone air blows cold only on "Lo" temp setting, but blows hot on any other temp, even at 55.

I was getting fault codes 54 and 56 so replaced blend doors believing problem would be resolved. My fault codes are now clear, however, the problem I was experiencing before where I could only get cold air to blow while temp is set to "Lo" and where I get maximum hot air when temp is set to 55 degrees or above still exists.

Code 54 is the most common code on these Jeeps indicating a broken driver's side blend door. The door is on a horizontal axis and when it breaks, it typically falls to the bottom of the box, blocking the heater core, giving no heat and lower efficiency AC. Code 56 indicates the same issue on the passenger side. Usually the passenger side will fail first, followed shortly by the driver's side. HeaterTreater has kits to address both the blend doors and the re-circ door. The blend door kit provides metal doors and is installed through the glove box with no disassembly of the dash required. The doors are adjustable during installation, insuring a perfect fit and 100% efficient operation. Others do not have that advantage. Check for more information at www.heatertreater.net.
