If the ac compressor engages and runs when you turn the A/C on, then there is nothing wrong with the electronic controls. A simple way to check is to turn the A/C on and see if you feel the engagement of the compressor. If the compressor does not engage when you turn on the A/C, see if it will run by jumping the compressor clutch wire directly to the battery (use a fused jumper wire). If the compressor works when you jump it, and the A/C blows cold air, the system contains refrigerant and the fault is likely a bad A/C compressor clutch relay or a bad clutch cycling switch or pressure switch. If the compressor does not engage when you jump it, the problem is a bad compressor clutch. Even if the coolant pressure is OK as in your case, you may have too much moisture or contaminants in the system. If the compressor appears to be OK, I would have the system purged and refilled with the correct coolant. The A/C system is the one sytem most mechanics can't properly diagnose. Go to a dedicated A/C repair shop to have evrything done.
