Am I better off using the X-Plan to purchase a 2008 Ford that has been on lot for awhile or bargaining with dealer?

I can use Ford's X-Plan to purchase a car but the vehicle I have found is a 2008 that has been on the dealers lot for some time. Am I better off using the X-Plan or bargaining with the dealer since he may be wanting to get the car off his lot and the X-Plan is a fixed price?

In my area some Ford vehicles have been marked at employee pricing, so go look at the vehicle and compare the price to the x-plan pricing, and buy it at whichever is cheaper. Sometimes it can be had for less than x-plan prices, but not very often.
