Any info on 2000 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor extended warrany on engine regarding regular oil /synthetic?

friend has 2000 c230,second owner.she heard m-benz offered an extended warranty as they didnt specify to use synthetic oil only.she called a benz dealer and got no info.any ideas????

It should be noted in the owners manual. If not call the parts department of MB they know what is the proper oil for your Komressor. A lot of people don't realise the knowledge of the dealers parts department people. Myself I always use synthetic oil in my cars.
I have an 1988 Honda Civic with 52,600 miles and 1998 Toyota 4runner with 61,800 miles both were bought new. And I've been using synthetic oil. Especially do to the fact I live in a very hot climate, Las Vegas, NV. and aluminum engines should be protected from friction. Today it was 107 degrees. And summer is just starting.
