Are Toyota windshield VINs digital? Can they be impossible to read? (Toyota Camry Car Buying)

kbooth	Are Toyota windshield VINs digital? Can they be impossible to read? I'm trying to see if a car is stolen. I can't find the VIN anywhere. I know VINs are near the windshield in front of the driver's side. This Toyota has a long rectangular area that looks long enough for a VIN. When I tried looking, the rectangular spot inside the windshield is green. It looks like my old digital watch after I wore it in the pool. It's kind of hazy. There's a small area of red in one of the corners. I only know it's an older Camry (like 2000). Any advice?

If you can't read it for some reason it's also on a label affixed to the inside of the driver's door.

If that's missing and the VIN at the windshield is illegible for some reason, that would be suspicious.
