Are there diesel cars on the market that will run on biodiesel without modifications?

I like the idea of biodiesel but could never undertake the task of converting an engine or fuel system.

It's a complicated question. In general, if you are using pump biodiesel, rather than home-cooked fuel, there should be no drastic conversions necessary HOWEVER, some cars do have issues with biodiesel and do need modification.

See here: http://www.biodiesel.com/Issues.htm

ALSO -- some manufacturers of new diesel cars will VOID your warranty----others will not.

It would be wise to do careful research on your particular car before using biodiesel, but probably once you've done that, and avoided any obvious pitfalls, you should be fine.

If you live in a very cold climate, you may have other issues related to biodiesel that require mixing with regular diesel or using anti-gel additives.

Sorry that there is no straight answer, but with so many different diesel systems, and not knowing the age or make of your car, and not knowing which kind of biodiesel you plan to use, all these variables make a simple answer impossible.
