BMW328xi Dealer lease demo w 3680 mi for same price as new car lease from another dealer. What dicount $ is fair?

Dealer is leasing Demo with 3680 miles asking same amount that I can get a new car with 12 miles on it. They want $5,208.00 at signing which includes 2,495.00 cash plus $249.00 doc fees. I do not want to pay the cash and doc fees, is that a fair offer?

Leasing a demo is never a great idea. The bank dings you for the mileage, probably to the tune of .30/mile. That means you have an $1,100 charge for mileage. So, while you maybe able to get a little larger discount on the demo, it is eaten up by the mileage as well.

You can certainly work on the demo more and see what happens. Ask both dealers for what the selling price is and compare the two.

Good luck!
