I use Mercury Insurance - Paragon Motor Club. So far, two separate claims (on 2 different
occasions) were honored with no hesitancy (one about $ 1,100 the other about $ 300), but a transmission cooler line claim of $ 300 for some reason wasn't covered (same time as the $1,100 covered other repairs). Theirs was the overall best value for the coverage that I found available when I purchased it.

Congratulations on your purchase. Have a Mercedes dealer check out the vehicle
if you're still under factory warranty for whatever the factory warranty covers.

I'd go with Mercedes extended warranty. It may be more expensive but it's factory backed and there shouldn't be any issues with it should you need to use it.
