Brake lights and turn signals don't work. Ford Bronco.

My brake lights and my turn signals don't work. I checked all the fuses and bulbs are all good. I have all the running lights working. Everything else seems to work fine. What could my problem be. I had someone tell me that they think it could be the brake light switch under the dash but I can't see that doing anything to the turn signals.

If this is a full size Bronco, mid '90s, then your problem is most likley in your four way flasher switch, located on top of your steering colum. Both the brake and the turn signal circuits go through that switch. You may be able to prove this by wiggling the switch button around or depress and release the button several times. All lights may still not work but if you see any of them begin to work again then the switch will need to be replaced.

You were close. It was on the stearing column next to the 4 way blinker switch. A plug was loose, not plugged in all the way. Don't know yet if that problem will stay away but it not there now. Snapped the plugs all the way together and all the lights worked, but don't understand how it got unplugged in the first place.
This was on a 93 Taurus wagon.
