Very simple process. Seller arranges with the lienholder for you to pay them (AHFC) and they release the lien and pass clean title to you. Lien holder pays the seller the difference. Never EVER pay the seller of a car with a lien on it as you will never get the title and good luck finding the seller once he has the money!. This all has to be done with all 3 parties involved. If you have any doubts, call AFHC and they will guide you through the process. Good luck!
