Like the other Acura's, it wants premium fuel (even more true with the turbo motor in the RDX). You could probably run midgrade as long as the computer is able to adjust the timing (which may result in slightly less power or even MPG). You could also try 87, but again you'll need to keep watch on how it performs - any knocking (pre-ignition) is an indication that you need to use higher octane fuel.-Brian
Your TL will be able to run on 87 octane, however, if you want the best performance and efficiency from your engine, you would be better off using what is recommended for the engine, which is 91 octane.
