Can I flat tow a 2006 Nissan Titan 2 wheel drive? If not what do i need to tow it?

I would like to flat tow my 2006 Nissan 2 wheel drive Titan behind my moto home. Would like to no what I need to be able to do this. Thanks Rowdy

No, Nissan says you cannot flat-tow a Titan--or any other Nissan with an automatic transmission. In their truck lineup, only the manual version of the Xterra and Frontier can do it. The main problem, but by no means the only one, is the automatic transmission cannot survice with the output shaft turning without the engine on--no lubrication, for one thing.

I suppose you could do it if you removed the driveshaft, but this isn't conveinient and creates other problems. I've seen driveshaft disconnect mechanisms sold in the past, but they were fairly terrible pieces of "engineering." I don't recommend them.
