Can I switch my VW GTI to full synthetic oil after 68k miles?

I have a 03' VW gti w/ 68k miles. Was thinking of switching to full synthetic . Are there any do's or dont's. Please help. Thx all.

In Maintenance & Repair > Oil
In Makes & Models > Volkswagen > GTI

It will be fine. Use same viscosity. you can typically extend your oil changes to 5k or more depending on how you drive.
