    Nissaan owns the lease on the vehicle. A lease is like renting. You can't return a lease vehicle to a different brand dealer no more than you can trade in a rented house to different landlord.

    Your best hope is to see if your Nissan dealer also owns a Honda dealership. They may deal with you that way. Otherwise you just return the vehicle to Nissan and pay what ever return fees are due for extra mileage or damage. Then you just walk away empty handed as if you never had any wheels. That is why my first lease was my last.

    At least if you had purchased it, you would be able to go anyplace and trade it in for what ever you wanted even if it wasn't totally paid for.
