Can I use an indoor carpet cleaner on my car's upholstery/carpet? Why do I need to buy auto carpet cleaner?


I don't want to spend the extar money to buy auto upholstery/carpet cleaner. I just want to clean stains from my cloth upholstery and carpet (Mitsu 93 Eclipse)

You don't have to buy auto upholstery cleaner. You should have a wetvac when doing this to extract the excess solution and crud from the upholstery and carpet. Do a rinse when finished cleaning and extract one more time to aid in the drying.

Any type of carpet/upholstery cleaner should work at emulsifying the dirt, grease, grime. Works best when mixed with hot water at the concentration recommended on the label.
