Can a Toyota Prius be towed?

Does the drivetrain need to be disconnected? How easy is it to tow a Toyota Prius?

the prius has a CVT transaxle and currently I would not recommend towing this type of vehicle unless trailered

I agree with FordFan.

The best cars to use for tow vwhicles are rwd manual transmission

Ive seen many snowbirds towing cars such as suzuki sidekicks or chevy trackers, not only do they make ideal tow vehicles, but they get good mpg and are easy to park and drive around when you get to the rv park,,also you don't have to disconnect the driveshafts.
