Can a leaking power steering unit cause the harness and computer to burn up? Started to leak after flush.
Had the transmission and power steering flushed after a long trip. After a month the motor started smoking and leaking oil out of rear seal. It was under warranty from my dealer so they replaced the motor. They grounded the motor wrong and burned up all the wiring, alternator, battery, and computer. They are replacing after three months, but are trying to blame the leaking power steering unit for the problem. It only leaked for a month. Slow drip. Is it possible this oil caused the wiring to burn up?
