    It's the actual switch that you use to operate the side mirrors. In most cases, it will just pop put and have an electrical connector you detach

    Most probably the switch is bad. Hence, the problem with both mirrors. If the motors work in either direction they are good.

    Thanks for the replies, where is the switch located? Is it a simple switch that just plugs in somewhere like a fuse, or something else maybe in the electric box in the hood compartment? Its not a major repair need at the moment, but I prefer my truck working properly if I can help it.

    most likely a bad switch but broken wire is possible change switch cheep on ebay if that dosnt fix it start with the wires in the rubber boot between a post and door
