Chevy Silverado 2006 5 speed manual 4WD. Hard to shift into gears.

When I drive the car it is fine but when the car is in park, neutral and I want to shift into any gear(including reverse) the gear feels stuck.

I notice this when I park the car. The gears feel fine when I am pulling into the parking lot and only after I put the car into neutral and try to insert a lower gear or reverse that the gear feels stuck. Sometimes I have to wiggle the lever back and forth while I press and release the clutch pedal. I am not sure what is the cause of this.
