    Your Olds is worth maybe $1,500, more likely $1,000. So the dealer is doing you a favor there.

    The Mercedes is worth about $11,000 in my zip code at dealer retail. A dealer certified '06 C-Class would retail for about $16,000 and that would include a factory backed warranty.

    You can appraise both cars yourself here and dial the numbers in a bit better.

    Doesn't look like much of a deal at a quick glance.

    You can sort of compare depreciation for this car with our True Cost to Own tool. It only goes back to 2006 though, so you'll just have to use it for a general idea.

    Comparing to an '06 Buick LaCrosse, an '06 C-Class loses more value dollar-wise. But it costs more new.
