Could you please tell me if on the 2006 Chevy Silverado is it possible to be locked inside and not be able to operate the doors?

I ran into the store the other night and a friend stayed in the truck. I locked the doors as I was going into the store with the remote. My friend decided she wanted something from the store but the electric door locks would not unlock any of the doors. She was locked in. She says I clicked the remote twice but who knows. Is this possible or was she just not working the buttons right?

She wasnt working the buttons right or used the wrong button.Maybe she pushed the window switch instead of the lock switch.
She could have lifted up on the manual button to unlock it also.
GM or any Car maker for that matter, could never make a vehicle that locked you in.TMK!
There was a law passed to have a release handle put in so people couldnt be locked into trunks ...So.....
What purpose would it serve to not be able to unlock the doors from the inside.
They do have child safety switches to prevent children or anyone else from opening the rear doors on vehicles equipped for that. That you can understand the reasoning behind..

Try it yourself...Get in the vehicle and lock it with the remote, same as you did before and see if you can get out..i'll bet you can,if not, take it in for service.
