Dash lights, steering wheel lights, radio light and instrument panel lights out. 2000 Chevy Impala LS 3.8.

I checked the DRL relay and swapped it with the fuel pump relay since it is the same part number.I have the same results, no dash lights or steering wheel lights. I checked the headlight switch and have 12 volts to the brown wire and no voltage to the gray wires. When the switch is activated I have low voltage on both of the gray wires. I have checked all of the fuses under the hood and drivers side and passenger side panels and all are good. Under dash lights and dome lights all work as do the headlights and running lights and brake lights and Daylight running lights.

There probably is a bad dimmer control for the panel lights; or a control which has been inadvertently turned all the way down. On cars which have a pull knob for the headlights, the dimmer control is built into the headlight switch, and is operated by turning the knob. In that design, the headlight switch would have to be replaced. Cars with other types of headlight switches will have a separate dimmer control mounted somewhere on the dashboard (often a small wheel, located in an obscure place).

I hope this helps!!!

I think you should try to find a wiring diagram for this system. If they are all on the same circuit and it passes through the steering wheel, you may have an issue with the clock spring pinching the wires, or bind in the column.
