Usually, but bad condition = few $$. If they 'guarantee' some minimum trade in amount, you can be sure that money will be paid by you elsewhere, in the price of the new car.
A car dealer will take any trade in. I took in a few that were so bad we thought we may have to payu the junkyards a fee to haul them off. Yet, people were driving these cars!
Yes, dealers will accept anything you can drive, push, or have towed to the dealership.
