Edelbrock 1406 on a 350 that dumps fuel? so much it bogs and dies then I can see fuel pouring in-I checked floats

Fuel then leaks out of the carb and onto the intake. it will idle fine till it warms up (5 min) then it sputters and floods itself out. the idle adjustment screws are only backed out 1 whole turn. What gives? do i need to change the metering jets or rods, install a fuel regulator? help!

If it's actually spilling out then you have either a float problem or too high fuel pressure. You might need to take the float out and see if it "floats" or if it has a pinhole in it; otherwise a fuel pressure regulator is cheap and you should have one anyway.

You were right Mr. shiftright, I previously took the top of the carb off to adjust the floats, they were way out of specs, but somehow missed 1 of the floats was completely fuel logged. Easy fix! thank you!
