I'd stay away from the 2.4 l if you need a vehicle the size of a Caravan. I don't know enough about the 3.3 vs 3.8.
I have a 2004 Grand C with a 3.8l. Have 67000 miles on it with zero engine/tranny problems. Lots and lots of power for pick up or towing, but city mileage suffers at 11mpg. I get about 20mpg on the hwy, but I also like to do about 80mph.
