Factory Incentives and Employee Pricing (GM)

I am entitled to the GM Family First pricing structure. I am eligible to purchase vehicles at the employee price. I also received some factory rebates in the mail ($2000 loyalty and $2000 cash back).

I was told by one friend I could use this on top of the employee pricing whereas I heard elsewhere the employee pricing is non negotiable and nothing else can be applied to it.

The theory that it is non negotiable doesn't sound right to me..This would assume the best possible deal...I am sure car buyers without employee discounts were able to negotiate their way to a better deal than employee pricing.

Which one is correct?

If it's the same setup as the Chrysler employee purchase plan, the employee discount price is set right on the invoice and there is no negotiating.

However, any rebates or other current price incentives can be used to further lower the price. That wouldn't be considered negotiating.
