Financing car from a "non-franchised" dealer.

I'm looking to finance a 5K car with 110k miles on it from a non-franchised dealer. I cannot find a lender. Can you recommend a lender?

Most banks won't finance any car under $7,000, and won't touch a car w/ over 100,000 miles.
Your best bet is to get a signature loan from your bank or credit union

We financed a jeep with 98K for 5.2K from the credit union. So there are places out there; I would start by asking the dealer you're working with. I am sure you're not the only one who has struggled to find financing.

Your best bet would be with your own bank or credit union, but even then it would be hard as most don't want to lend money on old highh mileage vehicles, and you'd have to have really good credit for that.

It's easier to get a loan on a newer more expensive car than an older one with high miles.
