I don't see why an experienced upholstery shop couldn't re-configure your seat to your liking. Of course, this will be on your own dime but if it gives you relief, seems to me it's worth the expense.
There is a much easier solution. Go to your local orthopedic supply store (most large pharmacies have them) and get a lumbar support cushion. Tempur-pedic makes a fancy one with their memory foam for 90 bucks. Here is the link:http://www.tempurpedic.com/accessories/home_office/the_lumbarcushion_by_tempur_pedic/?&tid=113890&IMSVisitorID=10460916&ref=WG2Bor you can go to walgreens and get a basic one for about 30 bucks. Works like a charm for my wife who has a similar condition to you.
