more than likely the front brake rotors have warped your best bet is to either have the rotors cut or to replace them and replace the brake pads as well, also it wouldn't hurt to check the rear rotors also
It could be that the brake rotors are warped, or you're having ABS problems. How many miles since you had the brakes looked at?
