Have an 06 SE 2.7 that has a hard shift and is popping in the front end when turning. Anybody have any suggestions?

the car has less than 36000 miles on it and it just starting shifting hard and the tranny light is coming on, also the front end pops when making a right or left hand turn

This could be a problem with the cv joint or joints but since the car is hard shifting I would say you have a problem with the transaxle more precisely in the differential. I'm not sure what kind of car this is, an SE? So I don't know if there is a traction control of some kind that might also be causing this problem

Your vehicle appears to be under a factory warranty, since it is less than 3 years old and has less than 36,000 miles. Let your dealer fix it. The hard shifting can be lots of things, but more likely than not your vehicles manufacturer may have a software update that can cure the hard shifting if there is nothing mechanically wrong. As for the front end popping, have that looked at right away to make sure you don't have any condition that could cause loss of steering. Also check out the forums here on Edmunds to see if anyone has had similar issues.
