Okay, see if you can locate the two heater hoses that go into the firewall from the engine compartment--these are two hoses that lead into, and out of, your heater core == which is nothing more than a miniature radiator.
If one hose is warm and the other cold, (with the heater on and open), then you have a heater valve or heater valve control problem; if both hoses are HOT, then you have an air door/blend door problem, with some actuator not opening and closing the flap that controls where the hot air from the fan goes.
If both hoses are COLD, then your thermostat may be defective.
