Ford's stability control system is called AdvanceTrac, look for it on the window sticker. Manufacturers are typically more than willing to let you know what safety features are on their vehicles, so it should be on the sticker under the safety section. There may even be a badge on the rear of the car, I know that the Expeditions and Explorers proudly display the AdvanceTrac badges on their liftgates.

Well, I can't find that badge on any of the 2008 Taurus LTD that I reviewed. The Taurus uses the same on/off button for traction control as for stability control. Almost every sales person I asked did not know what is electronic stability control. I would ask does this car have electronic stability control and the answer would be yes, it has traction control. One sales person knew exactly what is electronic stability control and said his Taurus had it ... but I could find no evidence that electronic stability control was present on the vehicle. No emblem, no window marking, nothing of the sort.
