How much less should I pay for a new 08 Honda Accord vs. an 09?

I am interested in buying a new Honda Accord and the 2008 and 2009 models are very similar. I was hoping to get a good deal on a 2008 model since I plan to own it for 5-10 years.

I am having a hard time finding any new 08s left in the basic LX trim level. I have put out internet quote requests for both 08s and 09s.

Not all the quotes are back yet but right now the best 09 quote is only $300 more than the best 08 quote. If this price difference remains that small, I'm thinking I'm better off with the 09.

I have read that buying last year's model can be a good deal if you plan to own the car for 5+ years. But at what point ($ or % savings) is it worth it to buy last year's model?

At a $300.00 difference I would go with an 09. They are both identical and you will take a bigger depreciation hit with the 08.
