How can I get the rear taillight lens off on 2003 Altima?

I am trying to replace the rear turn signal bulb on my 2003 Altima. I have the two nuts off, but the lens still won't come off.

In Maintenance & Repair > Lights
In Makes & Models > Nissan > Altima

I just figured it out. There are 3 guides that are in tightly that resist release. Push and pry a little harder and out it came.

Removal and Installation for Rear Combination Lamp



  1. Displace trunk room trim as needed.
  2. From trunk, remove nuts securing rear combination lamp assembly.
  3. Disconnect connectors and remove assembly.
  4. Turn bulb socket counterclockwise to unlock, and remove from combination lamp assembly.
  5. Turn bulb counterclockwise to remove from bulb socket.
Installation is reverse order of removal.
