    The owner's manual will tell you how to do this. It often entails holding the reset button down for five or more seconds. Sometimes you have to do this in conjunction with turning on the ignition. Every car is a little different but it is possible to do it (but you should only do it after performing the maintenance required). If all else fails, call a Honda dealership and they will tell you how to do it.

    1. Turn off the engine.
    2. Press and hold the select/reset button in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch ON (Position II).
    3. Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
